Siamang have struck a deal to become a sponsor Redingensians RFC, Reading's premier Rugby Union club.  Based to the east of Reading, ensians field sides from the First XV, through the ages to the Minis.

Siamang decided to embark on this sponsorship for two reasons.  Firstly, Redingensiians as a club and Rugby as a sport fit tightly with our company ethos.  Siamang strives constantly for improvement, driving for our clients goal line and getting the best out of the teams we work with.  We share this with Redingensians.

Secondly, and for many of the reasons above, my son has just joined Redingensians minis, and seeing all of the good work done by the coaches and players, we felt that we wanted to be part of that, as both parents and as sponsors.

The senior club puts out five sides most Saturdays and membership is rising, with over 120 senior playing members. A great testament to the club in the light of decreasing rugby numbers across the country. The popularity of the club can be put down partly to the recent success of the first and second teams. The firsts, after a number of successful seasons, are now playing in the newly formed National 3 South West (Level 5) and the seconds have been promoted to Division 2 of the Canterbury Shield (Level 6). At the other end of the senior club is a strong Vets team who keep up the tradition of enjoyable social rugby based on a good game on the pitch and a good drink in the bar afterwards.

In addition to the senior section, the club has vibrant Mini and Junior Sections with approximately 400 boys and girls playing on Sundays. The club fields sides at every age group from Under 6 to Under 19s. These young players are seen as the future of the club, proved by the fact that today over half of the senior first team came through the Junior section.
